The drawing up of an inventory consists on registering data about each property. Drawings and photographic surveys are fundamental instruments of study and information, but it is also decisive to support the building plans and the supervision of their execution by the Services. Along with these surveys and beyond internal documentation and building plans, is also gathered historical, iconographic and bibliographical information.
As a complement to the building inventory, a widened and more systematic inventorying by districts is produced, in order to achieve a more detailed knowledge on the property's features, identifying typologies and particularities, and regarding not only the materials used but also the soil occupation, studying its relationship with the environment and considering simultaneously the social and geographic contexts.
Another area of study is the inventory by typologies focused in traditional architecture. This work seeks for a definition of rules towards the attribution of financial supports and other types of assistance, as well as on finding rehabilitation solutions that can prevent the disappearance of those traditional constructions.
