Considering the promotion of our cultural heritage, diversified actions are frequently carried out to catch the public’s attention. Generally, those actions are expressed through exhibitions, organisation of small conferences and elaboration of informative brochures. In the training area were introduced presentations about the different requested subjects; in the educational area, together with some local schools and among other already developed activities, the services try to bring people’s attention to this subject by carrying through an inventorying and a project regarding traditional architecture.
Ultimately, in this in case, the promotion's goal will be to empower rehabilitation as a surplus-value for the development and well-being of the population.

Having as background theme Funchal’ s Cathedral – Sé, the exhibition developed itself around three main areas presented in flash screening: The Monument, The History - the evolution of spaces and their characterization; the 15th and 16th Centuries Architecture and the Studies and Intervention Works carried out in Sé.

Having as sub-theme Food and Nourishment, the Ethnographic Museum has asked us to prepare and set-up an exhibition where the relations between the evolution in food utilization, historical periods and corresponding museum objects were explored.

Madeira Guide-Book 15th |16th Centuries | Publication
Starting at the Cathedral - Sé, the guide-book wishes to promote and call everyone’s attention for features of the same period existent in Funchal and throughout the archipelago. The purpose of this promotion is essentially towards the preservation of this important heritage.
