This exhibition is based on a research work by Jaime Andrade, who also produced the accessories. The exhibition aims to promote the knowledge of artisanal work processes related to the technologies of transformation of the flax plant; contribute to the understanding of the various stages of transformation of flax fiber as well as to the preservation and dissemination of the cultural heritage of it

Funchal Natural History Museum
Günther Maul arrived in Madeira at the end of 1930, with the objective of preparing the specimens of animals, land and marine of Madeira that came to integrate the permanent exhibition of the newly created Museum. On October 5, 1933, the Museum opened to the public exhibiting more than 50% of the current exhibitions. The exemplary dermoplasty, carried out by Günther Maul, made him and the Museum refe-rences worldwide.
