WORKSHOP “HANDS THAT GIVE ME AFFECTION AND WEAVE THREADS”
Weaving activity is here approached in a motivating and interactive manner. Through practicing, making flowers and carpets with the museum’s loom, sharing knowledge and led by the local weaver.

“PLAYING LIKE IN THE OLD DAYS”
This activity will be developed in OTL - “Museum, Leisure Place”, in the museum’s garden.
Aims: “Playing like in the old days” is a project of the Educational Services, which aims to make known, value and encourage the practice of traditional games.
Encouraging children and young people to practice these games, with centuries-old traditions in our archipelago and with them enjoy moments of fun and joy, is the first intention of this

“FESTIVALS AND ROMARIAS DA MADEIRA” (6/27/2019 até 11/24/2019)
Itinerant Exhibition of the Ethnographic Museum of Madeira (MEM).
In all the parishes’ religious or pilgrimage festivals are celebrated, consecrated to god, to the Holy Spirit, to Our Lady and to the Saints, represented by a relic or by an image.
The feast also contemplates the profane part that is the “Arraial,” as it is popularly known. It is the space where one dances, sings, eats, realizes commercial exchanges, dates, etc.
